Laura understands the work that goes into creating something original. An award-winning novelist writing under a pen name, she has also written numerous screenplays and hopes to see her work reach the screen. Her curiosity extends to languages and travel: she speaks fluent German and continues to develop her Spanish and French.

Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1998. She began her career in design and manufacturing, focusing on metalworking and the production of large components in small quantities. That hands-on experience helps her understand how inventions work, recognize meaningful design differences, and translate technical concepts into effective patent protection.

Her intellectual property career began in 2004 at Hoffmann Eitle in Munich, Germany. She became a registered U.S. patent agent in 2010, earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2013, and was admitted to the bar in 2014. In 2018, she founded Schneider IP Law LLC, now doing business as Rogue.law.

As Rogue.law’s sole attorney, Laura works directly with her clients, supported by dedicated staff who keep matters organized and deadlines on track. She also collaborates with a network of trusted attorneys worldwide to help clients protect their intellectual property beyond the United States.

Laura brings technical knowledge, creative experience, and an international perspective to her practice. Whether helping protect an invention, establish a brand, or defend original work, she offers practical guidance grounded in an understanding of what her clients are building—and why it matters.
